Errata Pages

We make every attempt to ensure that the information in our books are correct. The following are a list of errors found in Call Me Gene- 2nd Edition:

·        Page 22. End of first paragraph should read: In the plant kingdom, cells have a plasma membrane in addition to a rigid cell wall made up of carbohydrates (starches and sugars).

·        Page 29.  Middle of third paragraph should read: My DNA is six feet long and it is made up of six billion base pairs (in a diploid cell).

·        Page 44. 2nd Review question should read: In RNA, Uracil replaces which base?

·        Page 93. 10th line from bottom should read: This means that the entire DNA in the nuclei of the cells was inserted into the female eggs (this technique is also referred to as cloning- or genetic engineering).

·        Page 113. Reference 7 should read: Encyclopedia Britannica 1997 Edition. MacMillan Publishing (CD-ROM).

·        Page 116. F2 should be changed to 1BB, 2Bb and 1bb.
